A vision for a secure business hub providing a diverse range of commercial opportunities to support the central airport.
In order to support the evolving development needs of the Highlands and Northern provinces in PNG, Nadzab Central needed to be a secure business hub that supported the transport freight, business and mineral sectors.
The Strategic Land Use Masterplan was developed for the 1,100Ha total site area. Over 700Ha of greenfield land development opportunities were identified across 12 precincts.
Planpac were engaged to be the principal consultant and provide a broad range of consulting services. In addition to the Strategic Land Use Masterplanning, Planpac provided the design and production of development control plans, presentations to NCD Physical Planning Board, stakeholder and community consultation, ‘in principle’ massing designs for the 12 precincts, and Local Area Plans.
